Plum Compote

This time of the year, the trees are full of fruit. Actually, we’re nearing the end of the fruitful season unfortunately. 

Got some lovely plums and made a super easy compote. Using nothing but the plums.

I had about 0.5 kg of plums which I washed and cut in smaller pieces, placed in a pot and let simmer on low/medium heat for 1-2 hours.

 Then let it cool. It will thicken as it cools. Pour in to a glass jar and place in the fridge.

You can pour it into icecube holders and place in the freezer, then use one or more cubes as sweetening for stews etc!
