Whole Roasted Pork Belly (Bacon)

It’s not that crispy, it’s not thin slices, but it’s very tasty and goes well with eggs or as a dish on a smorgasbord. I’m talking about whole roasted pork belly (or bacon😊).

I did a recipe for Easter, which you can find here.

Today I did another version. Very simple and almost as delicious.


  • 500g pork belly
  • garlic and onion powder
  • paprika powder
  • black pepper
  • cumin powder
  • Olive oil


Put oven on 175 degrees C (347 F).

Cut off some of the rim and then cut squares in the rest of the rim and a bit in to the meat. Rub the spices and olive oil around the pork belly.

Place in an oven dish and put in the oven for 1 hour.

Cut in slices and serve.
